Hot Springs, AR — A Texas man is at the epicenter of an earthquake that caused Chili’s in Hot Springs to close over the weekend. The incident occurred Friday evening and was caused by a well done steak. According to reports, the man ordered a well done steak from the restaurant. Upon getting the steak he caused a 3.0 earthquake while cutting into it.
Staff at the restaurant immediately evacuated the building while the man continued to enjoy his meal. The restaurant is said to be opening today after having a structural survey done on it and says after the incident, well done steaks will no longer be available.
The Texas man enjoyed his meal and left a very generous tip, but staff say that is not enough, considering the emotional trauma caused by the incident.
