Hot Springs, AR - Hot Springs Police and Garland County Sheriff's Office held a press conference today to announce the results of a sting operation dubbed Profoundly. Netting more than one hundred arrests, it is considered one of the most successful joint law enforcement operations in state history.
Detectives from both agencies teamed up to catfish hundreds with misdemeanor warrants, claiming to want to meet up for sex, to smoke a little something or to purchase stolen goods. "I can't believe how quick some of these people were to jump on some of these messages and ask for a location to meet up," One detective said. With the way the operation went, law enforcement believes there is a "Shitload" of thirsty criminals in Hot Springs.
Some are crying foul though, claiming officers and deputies took advantage of criminals' thirst. A lawyer for one man arrested, says that officers tricked his client into coming to the sting house dressed in a two-piece bikini for sex.
